IBD DISTRIBUTION APPOINTED AS DAIKIN UK SPECIALIST RENEWABLE DISTRIBUTOR

IBD Distribution has been appointed as a Daikin UK Specialist Renewable Distributor. In its new role the company will be providing its full range of products, Total MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) services and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) expertise to plumbers merchants’ customers and non-MCS accredited installers as well as to regional housebuilders.

Specialising in complete renewable heating, ventilation and cooling solutions for the residential and commercial markets, IBD is already a long standing customer and major distributor of Daikin Altherma Air Source, Hybrid Heat Pumps, Solar Thermal and Rotex Underfloor Heating. The company has completed many successful projects in southern England and this is now being rolled out throughout the UK.

Iain Bevan, Southern Sales Manager, of Daikin UK says: “ IBD has outstanding renewables experience with expert knowledge in the application of Daikin Altherma heat pumps. The company has exactly the proven expertise that we wanted for the appointment of our Specialist Renewable Distributor. IBD will be an essential element of our UK distribution network.”
Aside from Daikin Altherma heat pumps, IBD also has expertise in other renewable solutions including air conditioning, solar PV, biomass, MVHR and small duct HVAC technology. This wide reaching capability will ensure the correct specification of integrated products for renewables projects featuring Daikin Altherma heat pumps.

IBD is providing a full range of services from initial project consultations through to system solution proposals including fully detailed quotations, product performance and specification data, engineering drawings and schematics, heat loss calculations, comprehensive installation instructions and commissioning. Sign offs to allow non-certified installers to take full advantage of the financial incentives of the RHI and MCS schemes are also a key element.

Working with regional housebuilders, IBD undertakes heating design and heat pump installation specifications whilst carrying out necessary MCS certifications on behalf of any non-certified preferred installers. NHBC and other guidelines on using MCS approved installers will be met in full.

There will be extensive joint marketing and publicity campaigns, designed to underline Daikin’s position as a world leader in heat pump technology in combination with the added benefits of IBD’s expertise in its role as a Daikin UK Specialist Renewable Distributor.

IBD’s Managing Director Ian Smith comments: “ We are delighted with our appointment as a Daikin UK Specialist Renewable Distributor. It underlines our pedigree as a market leader in fully integrated energy efficient heat pump based solutions and our comprehensive understanding of the MCS and RHI schemes.”
